Me again
I seem to have a lot to say all of a sudden. After last week's discussion and article, I just wanted to call everyone's attention to the "news" (reported yesterday) that boys are not innately better at math (gasp!). It seems that girls and boys are doing equally well on standardized math tests - take that author whose name I've already forgotten!!

Where did y'all go?
In the United States, girls are socialized to be pretty, sexy, vacuous, unintelligent, bad at math and science. Girls realize that their lives depend on male approval and so become that which they are expected to be.
In China and Taiwan, with different socialization, the girls do as well as boys in math and science.
Math and science illiteracy is not the result of an inferior female brain, but the result of learnings, socialization and accepted cultural roles.
